How to Create Websites in WordPress

Hi, guys!

As it says, in this post, I am going to show you how to create websites in WordPress in 2017 in less than 1 minute. It can be for your hobby or it can be for your own business.

I am sure that most of you have lived with the impression that you will have to spend at least a week to build a website. Or you may think that you need to know how to code in order to build a website.

You are wrong in both cases!

I have built my website in less than 1 minute and without prior experience. It is a very simple process and if you have 1 minute at your disposal, then I encourage you to create it right now! I will avoid any technical information in my tutorial, but if you have any questions, feel free to share them in the comment section below!

Step 1)

Write a name and click on the “Build It Now” blue button. At this step, it doesn’t matter what you write in the bar.

Step 2)

Once you clicked on the Build It Now blue button, you will get redirected to this page. It still doesn’t matter what you right in the bar at this moment. Therefore, just write any random name and click on build my free website now.

In order for this to work, they will ask you to register at Wealthy Affiliate.

Don’t worry this:

  • Is a completely free solution;
  • Doesn’t request you any credit card information;
  • Has a Life-Time Free Membership;
  • Doesn’t request you any “subscription” fee.

Additionally, you can learn more about Wealthy Affiliate’s features by accessing this link.

Step 3) Write your information

Click on the Create Account & Continue green button. Once you created your account, you will have the option to take an introductory tour or to skip it. If you decide to take the tour, then, at the end of the tour you will have to access the Site Build feature(see image below). You can find it by hovering your mouse over the left menu and click on the SiteRubix blue button. If you skipped the introduction tour, you will be automatically redirected here.

Step 4) Write your website data

Now, this is where it matters what you write. At 1) select on a free domain.

In order to understand what you are doing, a free domain will have the ending. Therefore, instead of having a PAID website URL called, you will  have a website free domain named

2) Here you have to be careful what you write as your website name.

Basically, the website name is what you introduce in the browser’s search bar in order to access the website. This is the link/URL of your website. A simple example can be, etc.

You have to be careful because you won’t be able to change it anymore. The only way to change it is to delete the website and create a new one or to purchase a PAID one. Therefore, spend a couple of seconds/minutes and make sure you choose a good one that you will be happy with.

3) This is your website title. You can write anything you want here since you will be able to change it later.

4) A theme is the appearance of the website.

There are 2640 themes, but a free member can choose between only 12. Don’t worry so much about that. The best theme that I would recommend you is called twenty- sixteen. It is free and it has a good aspect.

The same as the title, you can change it later. Therefore, don’t waste too much time on picking the “perfect” theme.

Step 5) Hit on build website

Make sure once again that you want to stay with that domain, and hit on build website. This is it, you’re done!

Next step? I would advise you to take a look on my Online Business Guide, where I give tonnes of tips and advises for you to build a successful online business.

  4. Hi Andrei, you created a nice guide. I have used both versions of SiteRubix (free and paid) and it is great. The highlight of this website is definitely the low loading time. Do you agree?

    1. Hi, Ilias!

      Well, the loading time is pretty great. Even though some of my posts contain lots of images and animations, I don’t have any problem with the loading. It is quite unusual for the loading time to take more than 2 seconds :D.

  6. I used to build websites back in the day when it was still black magic to most. WordPress has really revolutionized the on-line environment and it’s all for better. Just yesterday, my computer non-literate friend showed me a website he made for his own company. It was all done in WordPress and it looked great. I highly recommend this platform for everyone who wishes to follow suit. It’s quite easy, especially with guides such as these.

    1. Hi, Greg!

      I agree with you. 😀 When I first started my venture in the online world, I didn’t even know what a website theme is… Wealthy Affiliate really helped me a lot and I am glad that I stumbled into them. This week I even created and published a review and in less than 12 hours I found it on Rank #1 on Google… LOL… Just to think that there was a time when I didn’t know how to create a website and a few months after that, I’ve got my website on the front page of the most important search engine in less than 12 hours sounds insane. Sometimes I can’t believe how much WA helped me.

  7. This is a great intro to WordPress. I have been using WordPress for a while. It is by far the easiest platform I have used. ..and WA is a great way to learn how to use all the tools and options available in WordPress.

    1. Hi, Enid!

      I am not sure if it is the easiest CMS since I only used WordPress. What I can say is that after you allow some time to get used to it, you will be able to do everything you want to your website. In the beginning, my website was awful and sometimes when I look back, I can’t even believe it how much the things have changed. 😀 I owe everything to Wealthy Affiliate  and to my curiosity to test things out.
