This is the last part of my blog guide. In this lesson we are going to talk more about the future of your blog.
You see, nothing is successful from the first try. That could be due to a lot of factors such as: leak of experience, on going adjustment to the target customer, times are changing and so on. Therefore, the main think you need to keep in mind is to always try different marketing strategies to drive traffic to your blog, to see what is working for you and what is not.
Unless you are creating a blog with a niche based on history, then assure that you stay up with the trend and write about the new stuff related in your niche. That way, you will definitely get more traffic.
More important, make sure that you maintain your publishing frequency. For example, if you have a publishing frequency of 3 posts a week, make sure to keep it that way and not to come back to 2 posts a week.
My advice, before you move on to a higher publishing frequency is to start and create scheduled posts and when you have more than 20 posts scheduled, to increase the publishing frequency.
This would be a tremendous asset for you. You never know what unexpected event happens to you in a week and it will take all of your free time. If you always have 10-20 scheduled posts, then you will never run out of content. It can be your significant other wanting to take a sudden holiday, it can be your boss wanting you to work over hours, it can be your kid catching a flue, it can be your parents visiting you. It can be anything and at some point during the road, there will definitely be something that pop’s up and mess with your time.
Also, your publishing frequency affects your ranking in google. The higher and the more stable it is, the more traffic you will start to receive!
By doing this, you will gain authority within the niche and in time, your blog will be the main source of news of your visitors.
Another important aspect is that you always need to encourage your audience’s engagement with your blog.
Seeing your blog getting shares through social media and getting lots of comments, assures the search engines that it contains quality content. Therefore, engagement to your blog is a must.
So, how can you improve your blog’s engagement?
Well, the first thing you want to do is to create a feedback page on your blog. There is no such thing as a perfect business. In order to increase your visitor’s experience and engagement, the best thing for you to do is to directly ask them what they want from your website and to apply the feedback.
Another option is for you to hold different contests. You can offer a lot things as prices such as your services, places for their ads on your website, different products related to your niche and so on.
A third option would be to organize giveaways. This is the most common practice. People just love receiving stuff for free. There is no way to compete with that. However, what they think it is free, it would be a tremendous asset to your business. You can make giveaways and in order for your audience to participate, you can ask them to join comment on a post of 5 posts on your website and share them on the social media and to leave you a comment with proof. Just imagine if you do this… Your gain can’t compare with the price of the giveaway!
Another way is to write different questions on your blog for your visitors. It can be a quiz or niche related questions or stuff like that. Ask for their opinion(people love to talk about themselves!) or about anything that could make them leave you a comment!
Under no circumstance don’t focus your whole blog on earning money from it or gaining rank. Your blog should be focused more on how to help people out. Even if sometimes you might write posts that won’t bring you anything, it is important to think about the long-term result and forget about the short-term results!
As an example, when you created like 100-200 posts about a domain, it can be really easy to copy paste all that content and create an e-book and sell it on Amazon. BOOM, just like that you’ve created your very first product!
Now, we covered the publishing frequency, the audience engagement and the content development. Let’s talk a little about creating a brand.
The ultimate goal for your blog is to be able to help you create your own personal brand in order for you to be able to create and sell your own products.
How we do that?
Well, the first step is to assure that your blog offers a good visitor experience. Try a lot of themes out until you find a good one. Ask your friends/me/WA community/ what is their opinion if you are not sure what theme to choose.
The second thing you need to take care of is to increase your email list. This should be your main focus. Try to give access to your content based on subscription.
Also the giveaways should definitely help you to get your website exposed. If you don’t have enough money for your giveaways, then either wait until you earn money through Affiliate Marketing/Adsense or try one of the online opportunities that I review here.
Next step after you’ve started earning money?
The next thing you can do is to start and invest money in an e-commerce website and in ads on Fb/Twitter/Instagram/Pinterest/G+/Youtube and popular blogs/websites/Social Media pages withing your niche. Try to contact them and to set up a partnership in order to promote your products.
The next thing after you’ve become a millionaire? Send me half of your profit… Lol… Just kidding.
The best thing would be to start and invest both time and money on your own series of Youtube videos. Another idea would be to expand your blog to another niche. Don’t create another website or blog. There are a lot of people that generate a six figure income only from one blog! Just be patient and work your way to top!
That’s pretty much all on this lesson. I hope you enjoyed it! If you have any other questions please share them with me below in the comment section!
