This is the last lesson of the Affiliate Marketing guide. In this lesson I am going to discuss about the evolution of your business in the near future(1-2 years) and on the long term future(3-10) years.
I hope that you would have learned something new from my guide and for those of you who think that there is way too much information, the only thing that I can tell you is to not stress so much. All those things you will learn ongoing. At first it might seem complicated to create a post, but after creating your 10th or even 20th post, you will see that you won’t strugle anymore.
To make this post a little useful, I will start by saying that as a general rule in order to get traffic you need to get used to create a lot of content. I create around 5 posts a week, but you shouldn’t try to copy me under any circumstance.
I would advise you to try and spend a few months creating 2-3 posts every single week. After a while, you will get to create a new post in less than 30 minutes!
Besides content development, you should focus in having a nice web design. If you create a website with a more appealing design, the chances of your visitors to remember you will increase.
There are plenty of plugins which you can use in order to create awesome features on your website. I would recommend you to use plugins over the traditional way.
The traditional way means for you to spend months/years to learn programming in order to create awesome features. However, as Entrepreneurs, time is vital to us. Be my guest, learn programming and web development after you finished your tasks for your website. Who knows what the future holds for you?! I, for instance, was extremely parallel with programing. I hated it and I didn’t know anything and now I ended up studying a MSc in Software Engineering. Sometimes life has funny ways…
There’s no such thing as a “perfect” website. The main idea is that we build websites for our visitors. What a design or a content looks amazing for me, it might look like total c**p for someone else!!
Try to analyse how much time people spend on your website by using Google Analytics(Check my Tutorial and Tips section, under the Build a Business button on the main menu). Do A/B testing and see what works for your business :D!
After you’ve got awesome content and a pleasant web design, try to do email marketing! Aim to build an e-mail list of >50,000 people!
Start and create social media pages and Youtube channel and share all of your posts on them!
All of the above are on the short term plan(maximum 3 years).
After you start and earn real money, try to hire a team of content developers and perhaps even look at expanding to another niche.
You don’t need to have 100 websites in order to be successful. I know people who earn > $ 100,000 per month from a single website. You can do it as well!! At the end of the day, all that matters is how much effort you invest in building your business!
After you’ve passed your $100k milestone, feel free to drop me a message and hang out at a beer! 😀
